Choosing an arts residency with on-site lodging means setting aside special time to create, learn, and breathe. Far from the daily grind, these stays allow you to devote yourself fully to your artistic practice in a calm, inspiring, and socially enriching setting. On-site lodging plays an essential role: it fosters concentration, continuous learning, and interaction among participants. At Château de Pourpry, the natural environment and architectural heritage offer a constant source of inspiration. The changing light, the surrounding landscapes, and the tranquility of the place support the artistic process just as much as the instruction itself.

A painting workshop with lodging allows you to get into a true creative rhythm. The days are organized around painting sessions, observation time, and opportunities for discussion. This immersive experience fosters a more fluid learning process than a traditional weekly class.
Instruction is provided by experienced artist-teachers who are accustomed to working with a diverse range of students. Small group sizes ensure personalized attention: each participant receives guidance tailored to their skill level, whether in drawing, watercolor, or acrylic painting. Demonstrations, individual feedback, and guided practice sessions provide a practical understanding of the concepts covered.
This format is particularly reassuring for beginners, who discover that they can create a finished piece in just a few days, while laying a solid foundation to continue on their own afterward.

Participate in the camp and arrange your own accommodations. Participants in the day camp leave the grounds after classes and do not have access to the pool.

Booking conditions

Reservation and Payment Terms
When making a reservation, a valid credit card is required to confirm your registration for the course.
An initial deposit of 30% will be charged at the time of reservation. You will, of course, receive a confirmation email.

You may cancel your reservation free of charge up to 90 days before the start of the course, either through the reservation management link or by contacting us directly.
In this case, the deposit paid will be refunded in full.

Starting 90 days before the workshop, this deposit becomes non-refundable, as it covers the instructor’s commitment and compensation.

A second deposit of 30% is then charged 90 days before the workshop begins.

The balance for your stay is due on the day of your arrival; the instructor’s fees should ideally be paid in cash.

Finally, upon your departure, you will pay for any purchases made during the workshop (canvases, supplies available in the locked cabinet).
