About

Carole has been a professional, independent artist throughout her career. After completing a preparatory year at St. Albans School of Art, she studied graphic design at Leicester College of Art & Design (now Montfort University).
After several years working in advertising agencies in London and her home counties, she launched her own successful design partnership, which she ran with her husband, Eric, for 25 years before returning to her first love, painting.
Carole creates landscapes, figure studies, and portraits, including members of the royal family and celebrities such as Joanna Lumley and Diana Ross.
Carole received a commission from the Bank of England through Professor Sir Charlie Bean, the outgoing Deputy Governor. She was invited to the unveiling by Sir Mark Carney before an invited audience at the Bank of England, where the paintings are now on permanent display.
She is the best-selling author of eight “How-To” art books, the most recent being *The Beginner’s Guide to Painting Portraits*, all published by Search Press.
Carole is a very popular teacher; she has led numerous painting workshops in Europe as well as a wide variety of classes in the United Kingdom.
She has exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London and has had works in private collections in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Europe, and America. She has contributed to various art magazines and has appeared on local and national television.
After spending some time in Brittany, Carole now lives in Suffolk, where she has a studio and continues her successful career as an artist and instructor.
