Oil or acrylic paint

Voyeur or observer? I capture the fleeting moments around me, trying to enter into the intimacy of my characters while maintaining a little distance so I can gradually convey their emotions.

About

A graduate with a master’s degree from a prestigious Academy of Fine Arts in China, specializing in oil painting. A neo-realist painter with a narrative spirit at heart. Voyeur or observer? I capture the fleeting moments around me, trying to enter the private world of my characters while maintaining a bit of distance to gradually convey their emotions. Between reality and illusion, I strive to blur the boundaries to create a world that is both close to and distant from us. I long to escape and discover, but also to be alone so I can recharge. I’m a great admirer of Edward Hopper, David Hockney, Andrew Wyeth, Alex Colville… Water, mirrors, reflections, and light are my inexhaustible sources of inspiration for finding the essence and soul of my painting. Having participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, some of my works are part of private collections in Europe, the United States, and Hong Kong.
