An artist from Toulouse teaches pencil portraiture and then color mixing in the tradition of the great masters

About

Judith Steenkamer (born 1980 in Wijchen, Netherlands) is a fine-arts painter specializing in classical realist portraits and figures.
As a child, drawing was her favorite activity; she went on to study philosophy at the University of Nijmegen.
She completed her studies and secured a position at the same university, but her desire to develop her artistic skills grew stronger.
Judith took various painting classes, but in 2012 she met the Dutch fine artist Emile van Dalen, who taught her his rich painting techniques, based on those used by the 17th-century Dutch masters. This enabled her to create the paintings she had envisioned.
Strong contrasts of light, a sense of serenity in her compositions, and well-balanced colors characterize her work.
Judith also paints portraits on commission.
Her drawing and painting classes at the L’Imagerie studio in Toulouse are very popular.
